So I take you are giving up MMOs and all single player games where you have more than one race?
What a silly argument. How many people would quit WoW if their Orc suddenly looked like and elf? Or who would be happy if you brought your black car to the dealer and he painted it pink because there's some new, stronger paint?
Yout lack of compassion/empathy is devastating.

If I could have found the thread that those posts were in they would have answered that compassion/empathy comment of yours better. But it's like looking for a needle in a haystack with the amount of threads that have been generated lately.
Yes I removed that because I recognized your name! I just didn't understand your comment in the light of your previous posts.

Originally by: W1rlW1nd as stated, the op has nothing to do with bloodlines- he is ragequitting because wants everyone to be able to wear the same clothes!
pay attention people!
and furthermore he is SO OUTRAGED that he is ragequitting 2 months in advance bacause he wants to keep playing until his sub is up in march
People should do what they think is right.
And no, it's not just about clothes if you read correctly, it's about (the lack of) customization options that other bloodlines do have.
Originally by: Forum Guy The reason they restrict what bloodlines/races can do (n/a to this game) and look like is to keep a seperate identity for each, so not everyone looks the same.
They could keep adding clothes, hairstyle etc. but there would never be enough to keep people looking different without imposing restrictions. Same clothes different colours, but they really just look the same.
I think when we'll be able to walk in stations we'll all look a lot more the same than the forum pictures seem to suggest. No more differences in posture, angles, light effects, backgrounds, we're also all the same length. I guess we'll see 95% of the females all have the same 3 or 4 hairstyles, for example (as most hairstyles looks so silly they're quite redundant).

Because op is just trolling? Who in their right mind would quit EVE over something so trivial?
Maybe what's trivial for you may not be trivial to other people? Or does that sound very strange?

Originally by: Ranka Mei I've seen some stupid reasons to quit over. The one the OP came with has got to be dumbest, most contrived, one I ever came across, though.
*shrugs* I know there's people who wouldn't mind their avatar looking like a paper bag or a pile of secretion as long as they can shoot ships, that doesn't mean it has to be valid for every player.
EVE is still advertized as a MMORPG and RP and looks are important for the immersion for a lot of people.

Originally by: Ranka Mei Leaving the game, however, because (quoting CCP) "some character options are limited to certain races or bloodlines," is rather bizarre, though. In fact, having no racial limitations is what would go against true immersion! In that sense, I can only reiterate my statement about finding OP's reason for leaving highly contrived. Especially since racial differences in looks have existed since long before I even started this game.
I don't think it's bizarre.
If CCP had only kept the same options for the same bloodlines most people wouldn't have problems with it. I think no-one would have objected to a "re-creating your character but in a more realistic way" thing.
The thing is that they changed some bloodlines beyond recognition and on top of that removed a lot of options from the bloodline that always had them, and for which people picked that bloodline in the first place. The fact is that some bloodlines have options they never had before and some lost options they always had. Differences are good - but not if you're stuck with options you didn't want when you picked your character the first time.
Perhaps it's not the case in your case or you may have found an agreeable alternative; well that's very nice for you. I just don't understand why you refuse to see that some people who didn't are very unhappy about this.
